The first touch of water made him shiver and he was, for a few minutes anyway, more obedient than he had been when this had all started. He was so parched and it felt so good, that he didn't protest and didn't move his head away. Instead, still groggy and clumsy, he hastily swallowed each shallow mouthful. Sometimes, he was a bit too eager, and wetness darkened the pillow and dotted the skin of his cheeks and neck.
The relief made him relax and got him to actually close his eyes for a little while, just listening to her voice and letting the coolness soak into his worn throat. He almost thought that he was dreaming; when he opened his eyes again, she was still there, but everything was slightly blurry (a side-effect, he didn't know, of his "medication").
"I...okay."
She wasn't holding him down, not like the orderly had been. There wasn't an urge to bite her like he had bitten him.
"Where am I...?"
Aomine wasn't sure why he asked. He knew where he was. But it was dark now and his confused, worn mind hadn't quite yet put together the fact that he was still in the impossible hospital, instead of a real hospital. He could almost mistake her for a real nurse.
